water inside passenger foot well is the general cause of electric windows failure

central locking misbehaviour

immobiliser working irratically...etc

If there is any damp ingress in the CCU (central control unit)

this will cause the above problems

i havent lernt anything about parking sensors yet

havent got them i like to feel my way in

will phone a frend and see if i can find anything out for you

Just looked at your photos and i'm confused!! I have got a problem with the parking sensors on my 2003 gal tdi (continuous bleeping in reverse , nothing in forward, no light on switch)and was told that the control box for them is under front passenger seat, which i have dismantled( bleeping has stopped). So this box cannot be central locking unit, or is it????]

Cheers

central locking was moved to the bulkhead (near knees of passenger) and the parking senspor move under the passenger seat - not sure when though

We have any number of electrical problems with our Galaxy 2.3 Ghia March 2001. Thanks to this thread, I have just about to remove the passenger seat to remove and initially dry out the parking sensor module, part number YM21 15K866 AA, Ford Finis 1111381. Hopefully this will rectify one of the myriad of electrical problems we now have. Thankyou all to a great site, with an invaluable technicle section.

(Have a Microcat image of parts involved - but not sure how to upload - could be temporary restrictions for a new user)

Hi, I have a 2007 TDCI Ghia galaxy with a very wet ECU unit from under the passenger seat, the problem started from water getting into the footweels from the sunroof drains being blocked. I have removed the unit and sourced a working second hand unit. As i understand it this unit controls the central locking etc but i now have no electrics on the car at all. When you put key in ignition there is nothing not even lights on dashboard and the clock is also out. Could it be blown fuses from the water inside the ECU and if so where should i start looking?

Any help would be appreciated!
